Chemical Explanation
The link that I chose to put chemicals in is the grass. If someone sprayed chemicals on the grass the first thing that would happen would be the deterioration of the health of the grass. The bioaccumulation of the chemicals in the grass would be low. It would not be as green and fresh. When the horses and zebras ate it they would ingest some of the chemicals. The bioaccumulation of chemicals in the horses and zebras would now be greater than that of the grass because they ate more than one grass plant. All of these plants add up. When the wolves and coyotes kill and eat the horses and zebras they would ingest some of the chemicals. The chemicals in the horses and zebras will now pass on to the wolves and coyotes. The bioaccumulation in the wolves and coyotes will now be greater because over time they will eat more than one horse and more than one zebra. When the lion eats all of these animals he will have the most chemicals in his system. Biomagnification happen when the concentration of chemicals increases because of the things the animals is eating. The larger the animal the more biomass it needs. It would take more biomass to support a lion that a beetle.
